Given the current rate of progress, acceleration is critical if Asia and the Pacific is to meet the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

The Entry Point Profiles, developed in partnership with United Nations agencies and programmes, present the six entry points for acceleration from the Global Sustainable Development Report, adapted to the Asia-Pacific context, namely: 1. Human well-being and capabilities, 2. Sustainable and just economies, 3. Food systems and nutrition patterns, 4. Enhancing power grid connectivity to achieve affordable and clean energy for all, 5. Urban and peri-urban development and 6. Global environmental commons.

The profiles provide an overview of progress at the regional and sub-national level on each entry point, specific examples of acceleration against each entry point., and propose policy recommendations for enabling transformative change and accelerating achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals in Asia and the Pacific.
