Researchers and practitioners of development cooperation mostly from four North-East Asian countries, namely China, Japan, Republic of Korea and Russian Federation, gathered in the fourth North-East Asia Development Cooperation Forum from 28 to 29 September in Moscow, Russian Federation. Participants highlighted the role of development cooperation in North-East Asia in achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for a more secure and prosperous world. The Forum was co-hosted by ESCAP East and North-East Asia Office, Russian Association of International Development Assistance Experts (RAIDAE) and the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration. It is a joint effort of ESCAP East and North-East Asia Office, China International Development Research Network (CIDRN), Japan Society for International Development (JASID), Korea Association of International Development and Cooperation (KAIDEC), and newly established Russian Association of Experts in International Development Assistance.
The first North-East Asia Development Cooperation Forum was held in November 2014 in Seoul in collaboration with KAIDEC, and the second Forum in Tokyo in October 2015, co-hosted by JASID and JICA Research Institute, and the third Forum in Suzhou in October 2016, co-hosted by CIDRN and Department of International Cooperation of Development Research Center (DRC) of State Council of China.
