In 2022, ESCAP will be celebrating its seventy-fifth anniversary. As the Commission approaches this landmark milestone, it is poised to engage in dialogue on the future of regional cooperation to advance the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and deliver on the common agenda outlined by member States. The need for multilateralism and regional cooperation is as great today as it was 75 years ago, but countries in the region can now look to one another for solutions and provide the rest of the world with a blueprint to follow.
As the world continues to grapple with the COVID-19 pandemic and how to deal with its aftermath, ESCAP invites all interested participants to join in a new set of Regional Conversation events. The series, inspired by the ESCAP75 motto "Moving forward together," will be held as interactive discussions, with open conversations and question and answer sessions with the audience following the main interventions. The four webinars in the series will be carried out with audience polling during the sessions and will also be streamed on the ESCAP YouTube channel.
The webinars will focus on four priority areas where ESCAP can help support member States in their post-COVID-19 recovery plans, as set out during the 77th session of the Commission.
