This report covers existing building stocks, typical building materials and building designs throughout Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines. It gives an overview of the current state of building in these countries, the majority of which do not follow a holistic approach which would consider economic, sociocultural and ecological aspects in building. The report concludes by mapping out areas for improving the design and operational phases of buildings in the considered countries.
