Bangkok, Thailand

By invitation only

The special luncheon event will discuss the agenda of this year’s G20 Antalya Summit – namely, to address the policy issues of inclusiveness, implementation and investment for growth, which are important elements in the Asia-Pacific region. The discussions will further highlight the ways in which the G20 agenda can support and align with the United Nations post-2015 development agenda, which is expected to be adopted at the General Assembly meeting in September 2015. Critically, the event will deliberate on G20 priority areas related to collective action for inclusive and robust growth, including for the least developed countries in the region. In particular, Asia and the Pacific perspectives on employment, financial regulation, tax cooperation, energy sustainability and climate change finance are highly relevant for region’s developing countries and that there is significant room for synergy between the UN and G20 processes.
