The regional technical workshop will be hosted by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Seoul Policy Centre and ESCAP in collaboration with various regional and international entities. The workshop will build upon other regional and international processes in preparation towards the Second High-level UN Conference on South-South Cooperation (BAPA+40). Its objective is to provide opportunity to the stakeholders in the region to exchange approaches and experiences towards defining, quantifying, reporting and measuring impact of South-South Cooperation. The outcome of the workshop will provide concrete proposals on how statistics on South-South Cooperation can be improved to better capture its important contribution to the SDGs and to national development efforts.
The regional technical workshop will be an opportunity for expert community working on the issues of South-South Cooperation, including think tanks and civil society organizations, to come together with the representatives of the Asian governments.
