As implementation partner in the Philippines and Indonesia, ICLEI Southeast Asia Secretariat (ICLEI SEAS) conducts four major tasks with respect to the Nexus pilot cities: 1) promotion of Nexus initiatives; 2) development of Nexus methodologies and guidelines; 3) support for capacity-building activities; and 4) creation of a regional learning platform. Within the context of promoting and disseminating Nexus initaitives, ICLEI SEAS organises National-Local Dialogues in order to facilitate stronger coordination between the relevant national government agencies (NGAs) and the local government units (LGUs) in the implementation of Nexus projects, clarify institutional mandates, and determine how NGAs can assist the local governments.
