Exhibit on “Using ICTs to empower older persons to self-monitor their health status”

27 May 2019 to 31 May 2019
Bangkok, Asia Pacific
Open meeting

In conjunction with the seventy-fifth session of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific and its theme of empowering people and ensuring inclusiveness and equality, the ESCAP secretariat is hosting an exhibition that shows how ICTs can support and empower older persons.

The exhibition co-organized by ESCAP and Chula ARi, Chulalongkorn University Platform for Ageing Research Innovation, displays how ICTs can be used to support older persons without direct caregivers in monitoring their health status. A robot will be displayed that reports the health status automatically to a designated doctor and family member.
