About the session
Monitoring of SDGs under Agenda 2030 is the focus for national statistical systems which has huge data demands. Big data and other non traditional data sources are an exciting prospect for national statistical offices to meet this increasing demand for more statistics of greater timeliness and relevance specially during COVID 19 pandemic. Human resource management and appropriate skill development is essential to meet this challenge. This webinar is being held as preparation for the 7 th ESCAP Committee of Statistics. The panel discussions will give a perspective how the efforts are being made to improve human resource management, talent development and skills development. The aim is to share knowledge and identify priority actions for member States, UN entities and development partners to transform human resource management and skill development efforts to build statistical institutions in Asia and the Pacific.
