The WTO Secretariat and the UN Office of the High Representative for LDCs, LLDCs and SIDS (UN-OHRLLS), in cooperation with the Enhanced Integrated Framework (EIF) and the United Nations Economic Commission for Asia-Pacific (UNESCAP), are organizing a regional consultation for LDCs in Asia and the Pacific to take stock of trade elements of the Doha Programme of Action for the Least Developed Countries for the Decade 2022-2031 (DPoA). It will take place from 30 to 31 January 2023 in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
The event will bring together high-level government officials from LDCs, trade experts and academia to share experiences, explore trade opportunities for LDCs in the evolving trading landscape and identify areas requiring support from LDC development partners. The meeting will contribute to the implementation of the trade related goals and targets of the DPoA. The outcomes of this consultation will be presented at the second part of the Fifth UN Conference for LDCs in Doha, Qatar, to be held in early March 2023.
