The release of a new Handbook on Provisions and Options for Sustainable Development in Trade Agreements will take place on 13 April, between 8 and 9 PM Bangkok time (13 April, 9-10 AM Washington DC time), as part of the opening of “Rethinking World Trade 2023”, an event organized by the Georgetown University Law Centre, on the side of the IMF/World Bank Spring Meetings. The launch will feature an introductory presentation by Professor Katrin Kuhlman, Co-Director of the Centre on Inclusive Trade and Development at Georgetown Law, who prepared the handbook with the support and guidance of ESCAP and other collaborating partner organizations and advisors involved in the UN Initiative for Mainstreaming Sustainable Development in Trade Agreements (IMSDP). The presentation will be followed by commentaries from invited experts.
