Background and objectives

This meeting will take stock of the work which has been carried out for implementing the Framework Agreement on Facilitation of Cross-Border Paperless Trade in Asia and the Pacific (CPTA). It will demonstrate the benefits for ANY country to accede to CPTA. In this connection, the panelists from the selected Parties to CPTA are invited to share their perspectives on how their countries would benefit from CPTA. They will also elaborate why other countries (non-parties) should accede to CPTA and how to speed up domestic process for accession. This meeting is a side event of Committee on Trade, Investment, Enterprise and Business Innovation.
