This information session focuses on applying a newly developed tool and datasets to help policymakers and analysts track economic integration progress from a conventional and sustainable lens: the Regional Integration Analyzer in the RIVA (Regional Integration and Value Chain Analyzer) platform.
- The session introduces the Regional Integration Analyzer (RIA), an intelligent, flexible and intuitive online tool developed to support ESCAP’s efforts in developing evidence-based policies on regional integration and cooperation.
- RIA covers 50+ indicators across 7 dimensions – Trade, Finance, Value-chains, Infrastructure, Migration, Regulatory cooperation, and Digital integration – for Asia-Pacific economies.
- Offering interactive features catering to policymakers, researchers, and the broader public alike to assess performance of integration between 58 Asia-Pacific economies and every other economy in the world.
- RIA is built upon the database of DigiSRII 2.0, ESCAP’s comprehensive index for measuring regional integration performance .
