1st Expert Group Meeting on Pacific Strategy for Knowledge Hub on Early Warning Systems

ESCAP is organising an Expert Group Meeting on Pacific Strategy for Knowledge Hub on Early Warning Systems in Nadi, Fiji from 7 to 8 June 2017. The key objective of the EGM is to share and explore good suggestions and solutions on how to strengthen existing knowledge hubs that support early warning systems in the region. The EGM will be organised in collaboration with Pacific organisations, the Indonesian Agency for Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics (BMKG) and the Government of Japan under the ESCAP project "Strengthening Multi-Hazard Risk Assessment and Early Warning Systems with Applications of Space and Geographic Information Systems in Pacific Island Countries".
