ESCAP goes Climate Neutral, ahead of COP 24!

ESCAP lives the Paris agreement by offsetting its 2017 carbon emissions. Climate neutrality contributes to achieving SDG 13 “Climate Action” and the goal of a Climate Neutral UN by 2020.

ESCAP is committed to Measuring – Reducing – Offsetting its annual carbon footprint. Since 2010, ESCAP has joined the UN GHG emissions reporting initiative to take substantive steps towards a more Sustainable UN. Focus is put on reducing ESCAP carbon footprint and improving in-house environmental management. The remaining unavoidable emissions are offset by purchasing carbon credits from certified projects in the Asia & Pacific region.
