Session 1 : Setting the context for Evidence-Based Resilience for Expert Group Meeting on Improving Disaster Data to Build Resilience in Asia and the Pacific held in Sendai, Japan on Sep 30 - Oct 1, 2013.

This session will assess a) current datasets in the different phases of disaster risk management; b) state of NDMAs and NSOs coordination; and c) good practices in disaster data management. It shall provide the basis for proposing a framework for disaster dataset and coordination mechanisms.
