ESCAP Committee on Statistics, Sixth Session

The Sixth Session of the Committee on Statistics within the theme “Navigating Policy with Data to Leave No One Behind” will convene at the United Nations headquarters in Bangkok from 16 to 19 October 2018.
This unique session comes at a critical time as the world recognizes the importance of timely and reliable data for robust evidence in policy decision-making. At the high-level segment, prominent decision-makers will, together with leaders of National Statistical Systems in Asia and the Pacific, identify transformative, collective actions to navigate policy with data to leave no one behind.
The Committee will advance member country decisions and commitments on official statistics as an indispensable element of the information system and core to monitoring the progress of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
