Subregional Millennium Development Goals (MDG) Forum for East and Southeast Asia

A three-day sub-regional forum on Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) was held at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, the People's Republic of China from 13 to 15 July 2010 for senior officials from the ministries of health, education, environment, and planning of Southeast and East Asian countries. It looked at progress on MDGs achievement in those countries and identified the key impediments.

The forum was organized in collaboration with Asian Development Bank (ADB), United Nations Economic and Social Commission for the Asia Pacific (ESCAP), United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU). The workshop was structured in a series of plenary, workshop sessions, and panel discussions consisting of background papers and country reports.
