ESCAP has been conducting studies on two major causes of road crashes: i) Speeding and ii) Alcohol and Drug- Impaired Driving, with the objectives of assessing the status in the region as well as drafting recommendations for the member countries. The purpose of the regional seminar was to review the study findings.
The Seminar on Tackling Main Causes of Road Traffic Crashes, Fatalities and Injuries in Asia-Pacific Countries to Achieve Road Safety Targets of the Sustainable Development Goals was held to share experiences on Road safety, Speeding, as well as Alcohol and Drug- Impaired Driving.
Study reports were prepared with the analytical data, key findings and recommendations.
