Partnership Dialogue on Developing and Implementing MDG-based National Development Strategies in Asia-Pacific Countries
This Partnership Dialogue was organized as part of the United Nations Development Account (DA) Project on supporting MDG-based development strategies through integrated regional action. The project requires that civil society networks be the main target group for capacity development in this respect.
The key objective of the Partnership Dialogue was to contribute to capacity development of senior policymakers in countries with special needs to develop and implement MDG-based national development strategies and improve basic service delivery systems in achieving the MDGs by 2015. A total of about 40 participants were expected to attend the Dialogue, including senior policymakers and experts from 13 participating countries, particularly from selective least developed countries, and representatives from the United Nations specialized agencies and international development agencies.
The representatives of participating countries delivered their brief statements/interventions during discussions under each respective session. The Outcome Report of the Partnership Dialogue was to be prepared and published for distribution.
