The Interregional Youth Policy Forum was held from 21 to 23 November 2017 at the UNCC in Bangkok to conclude the interegional project “Strengthening the capacity of Governments in the ESCAP, ECA and ESCWA regions to respond to the needs of youth in formulating inclusive and sustainable development policies”. The Forum was organized by ESCAP, in collaboration with ECA, ESCWA and DESA. Just short of 100 participants from across Africa, Asia and the Pacific, and Western Asia were present, with active participation in the Forum from diverse stakeholders including government officials, academics and representatives of youth-led organizations, and regional and international bodies. The Forum proved to be a valuable event to review project achievements, challenges and lessons learnt. Furthermore, the Youth Policy Toolbox, the main output of the project, was widely discussed, along with how to best disseminate, continuously update it and ensure its sustainability.
