The Study Tour will be co-organized by the Centre for Sustainable Agricultural Mechanization (CSAM) of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), together with the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) on 7-10 November 2019 in Ludhiana, India to demonstrate practices and technologies used for management of crop residue by retention and incorporating into the soil through the use of appropriate mechanization in India. This is an initiative of the Pilot Project on Integrated Straw Management of CSAM.
The expected outcomes of the Study Tour are:

2) to enhance knowledge sharing among current and potential partners of Pilot Projects on Integrated Straw Management as well as other interested countries, namely Cambodia, China, Nepal and Vietnam;
3) to promote innovation, regional collaboration and partnerships on integrated straw management.
Around 10 participants from the current and potential pilot site teams in Cambodia, China, Nepal and Vietnam are expected to attend the event.
