The findings from Sri Lanka's scoping study were presented and validated, regional perspectives on governance and regulation were provided and a shared understanding of Sri Lanka's needs in advancing climate finance at the national level was developed. In addition, the workshop created a platform for horizontal learning and included technical sessions on mechanisms and opportunities to mobilise climate finance in domestic circuits. A series of country-specific recommendations were arrived at, highlighting the need for conceptual clarity on climate finance, capacity building for banking professionals and collaborative action among key stakeholders.
