A training course on “Environmental Goods and Services Negotiations” is being organized by Asia-Pacific Research and Training Network on Trade (ARTNeT) of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) in collaboration with the International Institute for Trade and Development (ITD) and the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand. The participants will be the officials and relevant stakeholders from Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Viet Nam (CLMV) and Thailand. The objective of this training is to equip the participants to understand the linkages between trade, environment and sustainable development goals as well as the benefits and challenges of liberalizing environmental goods and services in multilateral as well as preferential agreements so as to meet their national developmental goals.
