The Second Workshop of the Pacific National SDG Tracker Workshop Series focused on the key challenges and activities associated with the countries’ indicator landscape, with the following objectives:

  • Provide a brief overview of the situation in small island developing states with respect to their indicator landscapes
  • Learn from the countries’ challenges, work plans and common activities for addressing and developing the indicator work
  • Develop and consolidate ideas on the way forward, in a manner which enables information sharing

  • Each country provides an update on one key activity being undertaken or planned to develop the indicator landscape in their country, addressing issues such as:
    • Key steps being undertaken
    • Challenges (experienced or foreseen) with this task
    • What they wish to see achieved
  • If nothing happening or planned in this space, briefly describe a key challenge in your country in understanding and meeting indicator requirement needs

(NB: At the conclusion of each short country presentation, another SIDS country will be asked to provide a short comment or raise a question to the presenting country)

  • Support for the National SDG Tracker
  • Other strategies for taking the work forward
    • Ideas from the workshop organizers
    • Thoughts and feedback from participating countries
