The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust has approved HK$ 380 million for a five-year project entitled "CADENZA: A Jockey Club Initiative for Seniors". The Jockey Club CADENZA Hub is a one-stop integrated health and social care centre managed by The Chinese University of Hong Kong and a team of multi-disciplinary health-care professionals.
Older persons aged 65 or above and holder of Macao Resident Identity Card can apply for a Senior Citizens Card. The Card holders are entitled to preferential rights and concessional fees at public institutions and private enterprises. At the Senior People with Disabilities Expo (SENDEX) 2013, the government offered free, one-on-one counselling program for older persons regarding their health care and finance management. The event was in line with the government's policy to enable people in the rural areas to get better prepared in the old age.
