In 2013, Sokcho City Senior Welfare Center developed a special project to make a movie that advocates for the human rights of older persons. The center trained a group of senior members to direct and produce videos and created a cast of senior citizens for the shooting. The film will be distributed to elementary and middle schools in Sokcho City to educate students on protecting the human rights of older persons.

It was a project in 2013 of an older persons' homes in the Ruhr region, Germany, where the elderly residents posed as movie stars for shooting 12 pictures of a 2014 calendar.
In 2013, the Korean Studies Advancement Center selected a group of older women aged 56 or older and trained them for 68 hours to be a storyteller at the local children's centers. After the training, older persons went to 2 to 3 local children & youth centers and worked 3 shifts a week for 30 weeks. The payment for the older women was calculated based on each visit.
