UN Radio News on INTERNET

A revamped United Nations Audio/Visual Page makes UN Radio News in both English and French available as streaming audio over the Internet. The UN already has a well-known UN homepage. 

This effort is part of the United Nations reform process to push forward the use of information technology to reach a wider audience with less resources. 

The new Audio/Visual Page has an attractive spinning globe and the user can tune into the latest UN Radio News by clicking on that animation. A news ticker containing the highlights of United Nations stories is located in the lower portion of the page. UNIS Bangkok, as the first of the UN Information Offices in the field, records radio feeds on the computer and sends them via e-mail to UN Radio in New York.
