Supply, Marketing, Distribution and Use of Fertilizer in Nepal, 1997, 37 pages
The publication, one of the FADINAP's (Fertilizer Advisory, Development and Information Network for Asia and the Pacific) profiles on the fertilizer sector in the ESCAP region, provides present profile of the fertilizer sector in Nepal including an updated data coverage up to 1994/95. Findings confirm that the present usage of fertilizers in Nepal is much too low and there is scope for increasing agricultural production by increasing the use of fertilizers. However, support services (e.g. institutional credit, research and extension work with farmers) are lagging far behind and need to be geared up to boost fertilizer consumption to the level projected by the periodic development plan and the Agriculture Perspective Plan (APP).
