Press Conference on Asia-Pacific Business Forum

Mr. Kim Hak-Su, Under-Secretary-General of United Nations and Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP);

What:              

The fourth Asia-Pacific Business Forum takes place on 18th and 19th May, in Almaty, Kazakhstan, in conjunction with the annual Commission Session of UNESCAP. Under the theme “At the Crossroads between Asia and Europe: Harnessing the Possibilities of Central Asia”, the forum brings together an estimated 250 business leaders, government policy-makers and representatives of civil society from across the region to discuss how Central Asian countries can improve their business and investment environment and enhance their competitiveness in the global market. Invited guest speakers include Mr. Supachai Panitchpakdi, Secretary-General of United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and former Director-General of World Trade Organization (WTO).
