LOXLEY, GREEN SPOT AMONG PROMINENT REGIONAL
BUSINESSES JOINING UN GLOBAL COMPACT
Eighteen enterprises from Bangladesh,
Hong Kong, Maldives, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Thailand
sign on at special ceremony set for
13 May
BANGKOK (United Nations Information Services)
-- Loxley Public Company, Ltd. and Green Spot (Thailand) Co.
Ltd. are among 18 regional companies and organizations which
will sign on to the UN Global Compact at a special ceremony
at 18:30 hrs on Friday, 13 May 2005 as part of the Asia-Pacific
Business Forum 2005.
The UN Global Compact, which promotes corporate
social responsibility, links business enterprises with UN agencies,
labour and civil society. A senior official from the company
or organization will commit the enterprise to support 10 principles
in the areas of human rights, labour standards, environmental
performance and anti-corruption.
The new members and their representatives at the ceremony
