Annual International Day of Peace observance
at the United Nations Conference Centre (UNCC), Bangkok
BANGKOK (United Nations Information Services)
-- The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia
and the Pacific (UNESCAP) in collaboration with UNESCO and Rotary
District 3350 R.I. will be observing the International Day of
Peace on Tuesday, 21 September under the Theme:
Peace through sports.
The observance will include a panel discussion
on the topics of “Consultation, Cooperation & Consensus:
Steps in Peace-Building”, as reflected in the programme
below.

by Assistant Prof, Dr. Soraj Hongladarom, Department of Philosophy,
Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University

Children and Youth: Innocent Victims of Conflict
and War Potential Bridges for Harmony and Peace by Dr.Gamini
Abeysekera, former UNICEF representative to Thailand, Special
Advisor,Thai Government House; and Guest Lecturer,Asian Institute
of Technology (AIT).
