Press Conference for the Fifth Asian and Pacific Population Conference

Bangkok (United Nations Information Services) -- An end-of- session press conference of the Fifth Asian and Pacific Population Conference will be held today (17 December 2002) approximately 16:30 hours in the Theatre, ground floor of the United Nations Conference Centre (UNCC), Rajadamnern Nok Avenue, Bangkok.

The Chairman of the Conference, H.E. Dato' Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil, Minister of Women and Family Development of Malaysia; Mr. Kim Hak-Su, Executive Secretary, UNESCAP; and Ms. Thoraya Obaid, Executive Director, UNFPA, will address the press.
