Infrastructure projects with PPP

There are a number of key sources on PPP infrastructure projects in Asia and the Pacific:

  • Information on existing or planned infrastructure projects which are carried out through Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) is included the country infrastructure reports that are submitted from time to time by governments of Asia and the Pacific to the UNESCAP Secretariat.

  • Information on the status of transport infrastructure projects is published every two years in UNESCAP's publication, entitled Review of Developments in Transport in Asia and the Pacifc. The last one was published in 2007 (PDF) , the next one will appear later this year in 2009. Chapter V of the 2007 volume was on "changing delivery mechanisms". Some information is also provided in the sectoral chapters.

  • The World Bank's Private Participation in Infrastructure Project Database ("PPI Database") includes data on more than 3,300 projects in 150 low- and middle-income countries.

  • ADB projects Website

  • The Transport Policy and Tourism Section has just started a Wiki entitled "Country Infrastructure reports" to collect and share in a more timely manner PPP and infrastructure information of countries in the region. This will allow informal updating of the information contained in the country infrastructure reports, including infomation on PPPs and related infrastructure projects.
