The Project Working Group on Transport and Border Crossing was established in 1998 with Kazakhstan as the lead country in the field of transport. It is one of the six Project Working Groups (PWGs) established within the framework of the United Nations Special Programme for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA).
The PWG on Transport and Border Crossing focuses on the development of transport infrastructure and simplification of border crossing procedures.
The PWG on Transport and Border Crossing has held seventeen sessions so far.
