TRANSPORT DIVISION Latest developments  Forum of Asian Ministers of Transport first session to be held on 14-18 December 2009  Intergovernmental Agreement on the Trans-Asian Railway Network came into force in June 2009  PPP online course on Model Concession Contracts is now available.  Committee on Transport, first session, 29-31 October 2008, Bangkok  Ministerial Conference on Transport, 6-11 November 2006, Busan, Republic of Korea  New way to measure transport efficiency as proposed at the Almaty meeting on landlocked and transit developing countries (Time/Cost distance methodology) About the Division The Transport Division works with member countries, including the public and private sector stakeholders to help them to optimize and manage the opportunities brought by the deepening globalization. The work is implemented by three sections: Transport Infrastructure, Transport Facilitation and Logistics and Transport Policy and Development . Several areas of work require close collaboration and are jointly implemented by the three sections.
