The responsibilities of the Executive Committee are as follows:

• To act in accordance with the decisions of the General Council Meeting.

• To set its own terms of reference.

• To decide on the criteria for accepting new members.

• To mobilize resources for the network.

• To review the progress of the focal points.

• To prepare a draft programme of work to be undertaken over a two-year period, for approval by the General Council.
