Working Group on the Asian Highway
First Meeting, 14-15 December 2005, UNCC, Bangkok
The Intergovernmental Agreement on the Asian
Highway Network entered into force on 4 July 2005. There
were then 28 signatories and 14 Parties to the Agreement. In accordance with
the terms of the Agreement, a Working Group on the Asian Highway was established.
At its first meeting, the Working Group considered the implementation
of the Agreement and any amendments proposed. The Working Group is a forum for member States to discuss progress in development policies
and issues relating to international road transport. |
