The Esplanade (AH2) The Esplanade is the country’s centre of culture and performing arts. It boasts theatres, concert halls, a library, galleries and restaurants. It has earned the nickname "Durian", as its shape resembles two halves of the yellow-green durian fruit from South-East Asia and the roofs bring to mind its prickly outer skin.
