Expert Group Meeting on Improving Road Safety on the Asian Highway
21-22 June 2007, Bangkok

Conference Room 4, Level 1, United Nations Conference Centre

UNESCAP is organizing two special events back to back: a Regional Workshop on Upgrading of the Asian Highway Priority Routes from 19-21 June 2007 and an Expert Group Meeting on Improving Road Safety on the Asian Highway from 21-22 June 2007.

The objective of the latter is to share experiences on how to improve road safety on the Asian Highway Network, including a discussion of resource requirements, priorities, possible partnerships and funding sources. The meeting will be an opportunity to discuss follow-up action to the UNESCAP Ministerial Declaration on Improving Road Safety in Asia and the Pacific which was adopted on 11 November 2006 in Busan in the Republic of Korea.
