The UNESCAP Trade and Transport Facilitation Online Database offers free access to trade and transport facilitation-related resources and information for a number of countries. The material provided in the database includes relevant laws and regulations, trade and transport documents, trade and transport procedures, conventions and agreements as well as information on national trade and transport facilitation committees, border crossing points and country Customs offices.
All information can be accessed either by browsing a specific country or by browsing a selected topic.
The repository of international standards and recommendations offers an array of further background material, tools and guidelines on trade and transport facilitation, including on aligned trade documents, security issues, ICT and e-commerce, single window facilities and more.
Currently, the resources provided cover selected landlocked countries of Central and Southeast Asia. In the future, the database will be gradually expanded in two areas: (i) expansion of the number of countries covered and (ii) expansion of the data and information included (e.g. statistical data).
The Trade and Transport Facilitation Online Database is a result of the project on “Institutional Capacity Building for International Trade and Transport in landlocked Countries”, financially supported by the Government of the Netherlands.
