Background
The Asia-Pacific Trade and Investment Review (APTIR) is a publication of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) launched in 2004. It was replaced by the Asia-Pacific Trade and Investment Report in 2009.
The Review was directed to policymakers as well as to practitioners and experts from governments, business, academia, international agencies, and non-governmental organizations. Emerging issues and initiatives which may affect the development of trade and investment in the region are presented in an analytical but yet non-technical manner. The Review emphasizes policy relevance and operational aspects of trade and investment, rather than theoretical and methodological issues.
