Background
|
Mongolian government plans to expedite ease of trading across border by implementing the Mongolian Single Window (MNSW), as stipulated in its new initiative called the “Year of Business Environment Reform.” ESCAP is committed to support Least Developed (LDCs) Countries and Land-Locked Developing Countries (LLDCs) in the region to streamline their trade procedures by implementing Single Window and paperless trading system. By organizing UNNExT expert review meeting on the draft MNSW Implementation Master Plan, ESCAP intends to help Mongolia to develop a practical, feasible and implementable master plan for the Single Window. |
Objective
|
Based on the extensive expert network of the UNNExT, the meeting intends to:
- Provide an opportunity for key Mongolian stakeholders to consult with international experts who have hands-on experience on Single Window and paperless initiatives in their countries;
- Help Mongolia to improve the draft MNSW Implementation master Plan, based on the review and advice from the international experts; and
- Assist Mongolia to design practical next steps for Single Window implementation.
