Objective
|
The objectives of the Meeting
are to: (1) Share the results of the studies and guidelines
developed by the secretariat, namely: [a] Study on national
coordination mechanisms for trade and transport facilitation
in the UNESCAP region; [b] Compilation and analysis
of legal regimes on international land transport in
the UNESCAP region; [c] Guidelines on the use of ICT
application for trade and transport; (2) Share national
experiences and take stock of progress of participating
landlocked countries in the implementation of national
action plans developed under the project; (3) Conduct
an interactive session on standardization, design and
implementation of trade documents in paper and electronic format; (4) Consider the results of the application of UNESCAP tools (trade faciliation framework and cost-time-distance methodology); and (5) Discuss next steps and follow-up. |
