Art 1, section 3. For the purposes of the present Agreement and for its validity period, the commodities dispatched from the territories of the Contracting Parties shall mean the commodities identified by the Rules for Identifying the Countries of the Commodities’ Origin of September 24, 1993 approved by the Decision of the Council of the Heads of Governments of the Commonwealth of Independent States. Note that the CIS has established a new set of rules as of November 30, 2000. (See WTO document WT/REG82/5) It is unclear from the wording of the FTA whether the 2000 rules replace the 1993 rules.
