Notes:
The talks will focus on a broad range of trade and economic issues so as to achieve a closer economic integration with the EU. Closer economic integration would help enhance political stability and security in the ountry. The free trade area is expected to diversify and strengthen Georgia's export capacity and open the market of 500 million of EU consumers to the Georgian producers. The talks were first announced in 2011 but the first round of negotiations is scheduled for March 2012.
