GOODS
Tariffs
Reduction covers 8 per cent of tariff lines with traiff rates above 10 per cent
Tariffs above 25 per cent to be reduced to 25 per cent; tariffs between 15-25 per cent to be reduced to 15 per cent, and those between 10-15 per cent to be reduced to 10 per cent
Tariff reduction to be implemented in four annual instalments for developing countries and eight annual instalments for the LDCs
Rules of Origin
To be included in an Annex, which is not currently available. Article 12

Contingency Measures
   Anti - Dumping : Allowed, no mention of restrictions. Article 13
   Countervailing Duties : Allowed, no mention of restrictions. Article 13
   Safeguards : allowed, if threatens serious harm to domestic industry. Must first supply Supervisory Committee with relevant information. Article 14

Standards : Article 15
Notes:
Implemenation scheduled for after ratified by at least 4 members. Malaysia was first to ratify in May 2006. The PTA is taken as a platform for further negotiations.
