Business Forum (APBF) 2010 is co-organized by the United Nations
Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP
) and the
China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT
Progress towards a
low-carbon economy by promoting public-private dialogue and creating
business opportunities in the development and deployment of green
technologies, goods and services.
Policy options at both
regional and national levels for promoting low-carbon economy in Asia
and the Pacific will be identified.
Policy makers and businesses use recommendations generated by the APBF
2010 to enhance enabling sustainable business environments and to
promote investment in low-carbon goods and services.
Businesses use the APBF 2010 as a regional platform to voice business
views on addressing global and regional environmental issues.
A total of 250
participants are expected to attend the Forum, including senior policy
makers, business executives and experts from the private sector and
representatives from international aid and development
agencies. In addition, regional and international eminent
speakers would be invited to make presentations at the Forum.
