Population and Social Statistics
Core set of Population and Social Statistics

The Core Set of Population and Social Statistics was endorsed by the ESCAP Committee on Statistics at its third session in 2012.

The Core set consists of 11 domains, each of them includes statistical themes. The 11 domains are:

  • Population;
  • Health;
  • Income, wealth and expenditure;
  • Employment;
  • Education and training;
  • Housing and infrastructure;
  • Information and communication;
  • Crime and justice;
  • Family and community;
  • Culture and leisure;
  • Governance.

This Core set is the result of broad consultations involving both member States in the ESCAP region and partner international organizations. The consultations were conducted between July and September 2012.
