Census pads destroyed 7 years after the census
Post Enumeration Survey done in October 2000 (took 2 weeks)
Preliminary count: Jan 2001  showed 5.1 million people
PES showed below 5% undercount
Preliminary release:  Data sheet with provincial count at District and Local Government level
Final count:  Will be available August 2001
Results to be produced progressively
